The 210’ long 48’ high chapel was built with all marble and terra cotta
surfaces creating a reverb time of over 4 seconds in the facility. While this high reverb time served
as an ideal room for chanting monks for decades, the hard surfaces proved to be a detriment when the
space was converted into a venue for musical performance and worship in recent years. Current needs
required the use of a sound system, a formidable challenge in this highly reverberant space.
Lifeline Amplification Systems installed a a full sound system including a speaker
system that was digitally processed preserving the aesthetics of the beautiful chapel while
meeting professional speech intelligibility engineering standards. |
